Fernando Alonso kept his Ferrari team at the top of the testing timesheets on the morning of day 3 in Cheste, as the Spaniard made his debut for the Italian marque. Alonso was driving the F10 for first time, and clocked an impressive time of 1m11.599s after 41 laps over the course of the morning session.

The only major incident of the morning was a minor collision between Williams' Nico Hülkenberg and BMW Sauber's Pedro de la Rosa. No major damage was caused to the cars, and both were able to return to the track soon after.
