Fernando Alonso's private jet was damaged in a minor incident in Kenya on Sunday, as the two-time world champion was making his way home to Spain after New Year celebrations at his boss Flavio Briatore's resort in the country. Fernando's plane was reportedly taxiing on the runway when it touched a building, damaging one of its wings. Speaking to the Associated Press on Monday, Alonso's manager Luis Garcia Abad said the incident had been blown out of proportion by the world's press. “It seems that the plane took a blow while they were parking it,” began Luis, “[but] Fernando wasn't even inside the aircraft. We didn't give it the slightest importance and because of that this commotion surprises us. It doesn't even qualify as an accident.” Alonso made his return to Spain today with his and his wife's family. | |||
