BMW Motorsport has announced an extension of their spark plug supply deal with the world's leading spark plug manufacturer, NGK. Under the terms of the new agreement, NGK will supply BMW's Formula One, World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) and American Le Mans Series (ALMS) teams, having previously spent three years as official supplier of the BMW Sauber F1 Team and BMW's WTCC entry.

“To BMW the engine components' quality is a key to the highest level of reliability,” said BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen, also Team Principal of BMW Sauber. “We were able to continuously raise the life cycle goals of our engines during the pre-season period. Our Official Supplier NGK contributed significantly to that.”
